How to Get Time Crystals in Satisfactory Release 1.0
Time Crystals are a significant late-game resource in Satisfactory Release 1.0, required for many of the most advanced crafting recipes. If you're working through Tier 9 and seeking ways to optimize your production lines, Time Crystals will become an important part of your operation.
Crafting Time Crystals
To begin crafting Time Crystals, you’ll need access to the Converter, which becomes available in Tier 9 under Matter Conversion.

The crafting process uses Diamonds as input, which are reconfigured into Time Crystals at a steady rate. For every two Diamonds, you get one Time Crystal, with the Converter producing six Time Crystals per minute. This process isn’t particularly fast, but given the value of Time Crystals in quantum technology, it’s worth the investment.

Diamonds can be produced from Coal or other alternatives through the Particle Accelerator. While the recipe for Time Crystals is straightforward, the Converter itself is highly energy-demanding. Power management is key when producing these components, especially if you're running multiple production lines simultaneously. Be prepared for high energy consumption.

Uses of Time Crystals
Time Crystals are utilized in a range of quantum-related recipes. One of their primary uses is in the creation of Neural-Quantum Processors, which are essential for producing high-level items like Supercomputers and quantum components. Each Neural-Quantum Processor requires five Time Crystals, along with Dark Matter Residue, Ficsite Trigon, and other materials. These processors are critical for advancing through Tier 9 and unlocking new technologies.

Another major use of Time Crystals is in the crafting of Synthetic Power Shards. These shards, made using Time Crystals, Dark Matter Crystals, and other resources, are used to enhance machine performance, making your production lines more efficient. Since Time Crystals play a central role in crafting these shards, having a steady supply will benefit your factory operations.
Beyond crafting, Time Crystals are also used in the construction of the Conveyor Belt Mk.6 and Conveyor Lift Mk.6. These conveyor upgrades allow you to transport materials faster and more efficiently between your production lines. Additionally, if you find yourself with excess Time Crystals, you can sink them into the AWESOME Sink for 960 points per crystal, making them a valuable resource for point generation.

Managing Power and Production
Given the Converter’s power demands, it's important to keep a close watch on your energy grid when crafting Time Crystals.

Depending on your setup, the Converter can draw anywhere from 250 to 750 MW, making it one of the more power-hungry machines in the game. Balancing power needs across your base will prevent production slowdowns and ensure that your factory runs smoothly. Ensure that your power infrastructure is stable before ramping up Time Crystal production, as disruptions could impact your entire production chain.
Time Crystals play a key role in the progression through Tier 9 of Satisfactory Release 1.0. They enable the crafting of Neural-Quantum Processors, Synthetic Power Shards, and Conveyor upgrades that are vital for enhancing your factory’s capabilities. While the crafting process requires significant power and resource management, the benefits of incorporating Time Crystals into your production line are well worth the effort. By keeping production steady and managing your energy output, you'll unlock the potential of Time Crystals and drive your factory to new heights.
