     First things first, let's gear up for this fiery adventure. The entrance to the Scorching Volcano is on the southwest side. You’ll need to bring along some essentials: food, ice cocoa for hydration, and antidotes for those pesky poison-throwing lizards. Equip yourself with either a full frog set with Tier 2 heat proof or, if you want to be a bit tankier, steel gear with Tier 3 heat proof. Ice is crucial here – it adds additional heat proof, and you can stack it up to five times. You can gather ice from the icy areas marked on your map. Don’t forget to pop some ice cocoa to keep your mood up since it will plummet in the dungeon.

 

    

Entering the Volcano

 

     Once you're all set, head to the pyramid-like structure at the volcano’s entrance.

 

    

     Park your mount outside; it's scorching hot in there, and your mount won’t appreciate it. Stack up on your ice cocoa and stasis soup for extra searing heat damage reduction.

 

    

     Now, make your way through, keeping a close eye on your stamina. You’ll encounter some armadillo lizards and rly polly lizards – they’re tough, so avoid them if possible to conserve your energy and mood.

 

    

Navigating the Holy Ruins

 

     As you push through the dungeon, hug the right side to avoid unnecessary fights. The real challenge begins when you reach the intense heat zone. Stack your ice to the maximum to minimize damage.

 

    

     In the first chamber, just keep going straightforward.

     Once you reach the ruins entrance, things start to cool down slightly. Inside, it’s still hot but manageable with your gear. Keep an eye on your ice cube stacks and proceed carefully.

 

    

     You can ignore most enemies by moving quickly. After some time, they lose interest in you. Go around and enter the second doors at the right side.

 

Finding and Defeating the Boss

 

     Navigate through the ruins, keeping right and heading up stairs and through hallways until you reach the boss area.

 

    

     After the corridor, you will see stairs. Go to the right and enter the first door after you go up the first set of stairs.

 

    

     In the long corridor, turn into the right passage.

 

    

     This Mechanical Core can be ingored. You should have interest to the door behind it.

 

    

     Then, turn to the big golden Gates on the right side.

     You’ll face a mechanical boss here. Make sure you have your corrosives ready, and don’t forget to keep an eye on your health and mood. Dodge the boss’s attacks by timing your movements – you can usually dodge just as the attack is about to hit. Once the boss is down, loot the area for the Volcano Key and other valuable items.

     After defeating the boss, make your way to the final room where the Shadow Walker Mask is kept. It’s a straightforward grab from here. The mask is in a chest, ready for you to take it.
