How to Get the Gas Mask in Satisfactory Release 1.0
Are you ready to venture into those dangerous, poison-laden zones in Satisfactory Release 1.0? Then you’re going to need a Gas Mask! This essential piece of equipment will save you from taking poison damage while exploring those hazardous areas.

Unlocking the Blueprint
To unlock the Gas Mask, you need to progress to Tier 5 in the Tech Tree. You’ll need to complete research at the M.A.M. (Molecular Analysis Machine) to access this tier. Make sure you’ve unlocked the necessary nodes, and then you’ll be able to craft your Gas Mask.

Crafting the Gas Mask
Here’s what you’ll need to craft the Gas Mask:
- 10 × Steel Pipe
- 10 × Copper Sheet
- 50 × Fabric

To make Fabric, you’ll need Mycelia, which is a resource you obtain from the mushroom forest. More on that in a bit. Once you’ve got the Fabric, head over to the Equipment Workshop and manually craft your Gas Mask. You’ll need a total of 20 minutes of crafting time, but trust us, it’s worth it!
Crafting the Gas Mask Filters
You’ll use a Manufacturer to produce Gas Filters. This requires 8 seconds per filter and consumes 440 MJ/item. Each Gas Filter lasts for 45 seconds, so be sure to keep an eye on your inventory to avoid running out!

Using the Gas Mask
Once you have your Gas Mask, equipping it is a breeze. Just slot it into your head equipment slot, and you’re ready to face the poison gas. The mask will consume Gas Filters from your inventory every 45 seconds. If you run out of filters, the Gas Mask won’t protect you, so always keep spare filters handy.

How to Obtain Fabric
Fabric is a crucial component, and to get it, you need Mycelia. Here’s how to get it:
1. Find the Mushroom Forest: Head to the biome with large, tree-like mushrooms. These are the sources of Mycelia.
2. Use a Chainsaw: Equip your chainsaw (with biofuels) and cut down the mushrooms. You’ll collect Mycelia from these mushrooms.
3. Research Mycelia: Return to your hub and use the M.A.M. to analyze the Mycelia. This will unlock Fabric in your research tree.
Once you’ve unlocked Fabric, you can use it in the Equipment Workshop to craft your Gas Mask.

Getting your hands on a Gas Mask in Satisfactory Release 1.0 is a game-changer for exploring toxic environments. By following these steps—unlocking the blueprint, gathering materials, and crafting the mask—you’ll be well-equipped to tackle those poisonous zones with confidence. Don’t forget to stock up on Gas Filters to ensure your Gas Mask remains functional.
