How to Get Tar in Valheim

Explore the Plains Biome

 

Head to the Plains biome and search for the unmistakable Tar Pits.

 

 

Keep an eye out for pools filled with dark liquid – that's your cue that you've found the Tar Pits in Valheim.

 

 

Beware of Growths

 

As you approach the Tar Pits, be prepared to face Growths, slimy enemies that lurk in the dark liquid. Arm yourself with good armor and weapons, and watch out for their slowing attacks.
