How to Get Space Science Pack in Factorio Space Age

     Hello, Factory fans! This guide will walk you through producing the Space Science Pack in the Factorio 2.0 Space Age expansion, starting from Blue Science all the way to setting up your space platform and producing White Science (Space Science Pack).

 

 

Getting Started: Reaching Space

 

     To begin, research the Rocket Silo using Chemical Science (Blue Science) as the base requirement. Once researched, you’ll unlock essential space items in a new "Space" tab, including:

 

     - Rocket Silo

     - Cargo Landing Pad

     - Space Platform Foundation

     - Space Platform Starter Pack

 

    

 

Building and Launching Your Rocket Silo

 

     Construct a Rocket Silo with:

     - 1,000 Steel Plates

     - 200 Processing Units

     - 200 Electric Engine Units

     - 100 Pipes

     - 1,000 Concrete

 

    

     Place it in your factory, ensuring a consistent supply of Processor Units, Low-Density Structures, and Rocket Fuel. Once the rocket reaches 100% completion, it’s ready for launch.

 

 

Launching Your First Space Platform

 

     To establish a base in space:

     1. Craft a Space Platform Starter Kit using Steel Plates, Processing Units, and Space Platform Foundations.

     2. Load the starter kit into the rocket’s inventory and launch it.

     3. After launching, access your space platform using the Remote View feature by pressing "Tab" and selecting your newly created platform.

 

    

 

Building Essentials in Space

 

     On your new space platform, place initial equipment, including:

     - Asteroid Collectors for resource collection

     - Crushers for processing raw materials

     - Solar Panels to power equipment

     - Electric Smelter or Electric Furnaces to produce Iron Plates from Iron Ore

 

    

 

Resource Collection with Asteroid Collectors

 

     Position Asteroid Collectors at the edge of your platform to collect Metallic, Carbonic, and Oxide Asteroids. For efficient processing:

     - Set each Asteroid Collector to focus on one type of asteroid.

     - Place Crushers nearby to break down each type of asteroid:

       - Metallic yields Iron Ore

       - Carbonic yields Carbon

       - Oxide yields Ice

 

    

     Filter inserters to separate uncrushed asteroids, ensuring your belts remain unjammed.

 

 

Producing White Science (Space Science Pack)

 

     To craft Space Science Packs, set up assemblers to process:

     - Iron Plates

     - Ice

     - Carbon

 

     Set the assemblers to produce Space Science Packs, which now require:

     - 2 Iron Plates

     - 1 Ice

     - 1 Carbon

 

 

Transporting White Science Back to Earth

 

     To send Space Science Packs back to Earth:

     1. Install a Cargo Landing Pad on your space platform near your science setup.

     2. Transfer the White Science Packs to the Space Platform Hub and use Orbital Drop Slots to send them down.

 

    

     If you need more Space Science Packs:

     - Expand asteroid collection by adding more Asteroid Collectors.

     - Set up additional assemblers for higher production.
