How to Get Anti-Sting Concoction in Valheim Plains Update
With recent additions to Valheim’s Plains biome, like the dangerous Deathsquitos, having the right protections is essential. The Anti-Sting Concoction now offers a safeguard against these deadly insects. Follow this guide to gather the necessary ingredients, craft the Anti-Sting Concoction, and keep Deathsquitos at bay.

Gather the Ingredients
To create the Anti-Sting Concoction, you’ll need the following ingredients, some of which can be challenging to find:
- Cloudberries: Found in the Plains biome, Cloudberry bushes produce berries every five hours in-game. They respawn as long as the plant remains intact, even if you clear surrounding vegetation with a hoe.

- Grouper: This fish can be caught in the waters offshore from the Plains biome using Stingy fishing bait, crafted by combining 20 Fishing bait and a Fuling Trophy at the Cauldron.

- Fragrant Bundle: Obtained from The Bog Witch, this bundle has a strong scent that some creatures dislike. It can be bought for 140 Coins per bundle from certain traders or obtained as a drop from the Bog Witch.

Prepare the Mead Base
After collecting the ingredients, prepare the Mead base: Anti-sting:
1. Open the Cauldron and select the Mead base: Anti-sting recipe.
2. Add:
- 10 Cloudberries
- 3 Grouper
- 1 Fragrant Bundle
3. Once crafted, this base is ready to be fermented.

Take the Mead base: Anti-sting to your Fermenter. After a short wait, it will transform into the Anti-Sting Concoction. Each batch produces 6 portions, making it ideal for multiple expeditions.
Effects of Anti-Sting Concoction
Once crafted, the Anti-Sting Concoction can be consumed to deter Deathsquitos. Although they’ll still approach, they’ll veer off within 3-8 meters, sparing you from their deadly sting.

Concoction Properties:
- Effect Duration: 10 minutes
- Stack Size: 10
- Teleportable: Yes
- Weight: 1.0 per bottle
Deathsquitos are one of the Plains’ toughest pests, but with the Anti-Sting Concoction, you’ll be well-prepared. Combine it with good armor and weapons, and you’ll find Plains biomes far more manageable.
