Hunt Leviathans

 

    Leviathans are massive sea creatures in Valheim, resembling living islands. They can be found swimming in the ocean biomes. To get Abyssal Barnacles, you'll need to locate these Leviathans and mine the barnacles from their backs.

 

 

    Approach a Leviathan cautiously with your boat. It's vital to stay close to the surface while mining Abyssal Barnacles. As you use your pickaxe on the barnacles, the Leviathan may submerge itself back into the water. Therefore, make sure you have a boat nearby to prevent drowning.

 

 

Mine the Abyssal Barnacles

 

    With your boat in position, use your pickaxe to mine the Abyssal Barnacles from the back of the Leviathan. Be prepared for a fight, as Leviathans can be formidable opponents. Ensure you have adequate health, stamina, and weapons to defend yourself.

 

 

    Every time you mine an Abyssal Barnacle, there's a 25% chance it may trigger the Leviathan's retreat, signaled by a distinctive howling sound. When this happens, it's important to have your boat ready to draw back.
