How to Feed Cattle in Core Keeper 1.0
Cattle are friendly critters you can find wandering the biomes of Core Keeper. They’re essential for producing resources like Meadow Milk, Wool, and Strolly Poly Plates. But before you can reap these rewards, you need to know how to care for them properly.

Types of Cattle
Moolin
Found in the Meadow biome, Moolins are adorable bovines that produce Meadow Milk. To get this resource, Moolins need to eat two farmable plants. They naturally spawn in the Meadow, so keep an eye out for these cuties!

Bambuck
Also residing in the Meadow biome, Bambucks are similar to Moolins but produce Wool instead of milk. Just like the Moolins, Bambucks require two farmable plants to produce Wool and spawn naturally in the same area.

Strolly Poly
These critters are a bit more elusive. Strolly Polys can be found in the Forgotten Ruins and Desert of Beginnings. They require critters (excluding glowbugs) for food and will drop Strolly Poly Plates when well-fed.

How to Feed Cattle
Feeding cattle in Core Keeper can be done in three main ways:
1. Direct Feeding: Hold the desired food item in your hand. Stand near the cattle, and they’ll follow you to consume it. Make sure to keep an eye on their hunger status, as they can only store up to 4 units of food.

2. Feeding Tray: Craft a Feeding Tray using 10x Wood and 5x Copper Bar at the Basic Workbench. Place the tray near your cattle’s enclosure and add the appropriate feed. The tray will dispense food, making it easy for the cattle to munch away whenever they’re hungry.

3. Feeding from the Ground: Simply drop the food item on the ground near the cattle. They will eventually eat it if they come across it.
Feeding Strategies for Different Cattle Types
Moolin and Bambuck
Both Moolins and Bambucks thrive on farmable plants. Set up a mushroom farm with Spike Traps and a Robot Arm to automate feeding. Place mushrooms in the Feeding Tray or drop them on the ground to keep these guys satisfied.

Strolly Poly
For Strolly Polys, gather critters (excluding glowbugs). You might need to farm bugs using Drills or set up a bug-catching system. Add these critters to the Feeding Tray or drop them near your Strolly Polys.
Kelple
Kelples need kelp to eat. You can find Sun Kelp in clumps within Azeos’ Wilderness rivers. Dig it up with a shovel and add it to the Feeding Tray or drop it on the ground for your Kelples.
Dodo
Dodos, found in Azeos' Wilderness and the Desert of Beginnings, prefer critters (excluding glowbugs). Gather these critters using traps or other methods and provide them through the Feeding Tray or by dropping them near the Dodos.
Cattle breeding is a bit more involved. To breed cattle, ensure that two cattle of the same type are fed at least 30 times while being close to each other. After this, baby cattle will spawn. Note that baby cattle will not produce resources until they grow up, which takes about 8 feedings.
Feeding cattle in Core Keeper 1.0 can be both fun and rewarding. Whether you’re looking to gather Meadow Milk, Wool, or Strolly Poly Plates, keeping these creatures well-fed is key to a successful farming operation. By using the right feeding methods and strategies, you’ll ensure a thriving, resource-rich farm. So gear up, set up those Feeding Trays, and enjoy the rewarding life of cattle care in Core Keeper!
