How to defeat Terrorclaw the Ogre in V Rising Oakveil Update

     You trudge through knee-deep snow under a bruised sky, the wind howling like a chorus of lost souls as you approach the Frozen Cave’s yawning maw. Inside awaits Terrorclaw the Ogre, a hulking frost-born terror whose footsteps crack the ice and whose roar shatters silence. Ready your blood magic and steel your nerves, because this fight will test every dodge, every heal, and every ounce of grit you’ve forged since you first rose from your coffin.

 

 

 

Location

 

     Terrorclaw lairs deep within the Hallowed Mountains in the Frozen Cave, where frost coats the walls and giant footprints mark the final approach. Make your way from the Hallowed Mountains Waygate, skirt around the patrolling Frostmaw, and follow the winding ice tunnels until you spot the cavern entrance glowing with a pale blue light.

 

 

     Before you step into the cave’s chill embrace, sharpen your Dark Silver Sword and don the Bloodmoon armor for extra toughness. Slot in Ward of the Damned to block his devastating leap, and pack Sanguine Coil or Crimson Beam to heal through the onslaught. Bring Blood Rage for burst damage and a stack of Blood Rose Brews to clutch-save you from a crippling hit.

 

 

     As Terrorclaw emerges, his gravelly growl rattles your bones and massive arms crash down to summon jagged ice crystals from the ceiling. Dodge away from the marked zones, then close in with charged strikes when the room falls still. Watch his movements like a predator stalking prey and be ready to weave in and out of his swing arcs.

 

 

 

Phase one ice crystals

 

     When the ground trembles and white AOE circles bloom, sprint or dash clear before the crystals slam down. Their shards will embed in the floor and can shield you from later attacks, so fight smart and take cover when you can.

 

 

 

Phase two ice shard throw

 

     After smashing ice from the ceiling, Terrorclaw rips a shard from the ground and hurls it like a spear. Sidestep or dash through the shadow of its arc, then rip into his exposed side while he recoils.

 

 

 

Phase three freezing cone

 

     Eyes glowing frost-white, Terrorclaw spins to summon an icy cyclone that blasts forward in a cone and roots you in place. Hide behind one of the fallen ice pillars or sidle just outside the cone’s arc, then burst back in once the chill fades.

 

 

 

Phase four leap attack

 

     When he crouches and roars, he’s about to launch his Arctic Leap - brace yourself with Ward of the Damned or dash away from the landing zone. The shockwaves will ripple outward in widening rings, so time your escape carefully to avoid being frozen.

 

 

 

Rewards

 

     Draining Terrorclaw’s V Blood unlocks the Arctic Leap Vampire Power and awards a tier-3 Frost spell point. Arctic Leap lets you mimic his own ultimate, vaulting to your cursor’s location and unleashing a nova of frost that freezes foes in its wake, turning the hunter into the hunted.
