How to defeat Adam the Firstborn in V Rising Oakveil Update
You step into the storm-lit ruins of Gloomrot North and feel the hum of electricity in the air as you approach Doctor Blackbrew’s Castle. Adam the Firstborn awaits behind reinforced gates and ruthless lab defenses, forged from human ambition and lightning steel. This fight will test your reflexes, your map of the sprawling arena and your willingness to deactivate deadly lightning towers before dancing with the monster’s blade-arm.

Preparation
Before you even enter the boss chamber gather a full stack of healing potions and equip high-resist armor - storm resistance and health regeneration are lifesavers.

Bring a weapon with both melee and ranged options; a greatsword or pistols let you strike towers from a safe distance while your primary weapon handles close quarters.

Slot in mobility skills like dash or mist trance and consider a defensive ultimate such as raging tempest to carve out breathing room when the fight goes sideways.
Entering the arena
You will need an EMP which you unlock after defeating Voltalia Boss. Use it on the outer gate or simply bat over it if you’ve unlocked flight.

Inside you’ll pull the lever to awaken Adam and trigger eight lightning towers that slice the chamber into narrow corridors of crackling energy.

Phase one tactics
Adam lunges with a slash combo that sends rock waves spinning outward. Keep a modest distance, sidestep his first swing to the right then weave left through the second, then roll backward to avoid the final slam.

When he charges his blade overhead expect a volley of thunderbolts - dash perpendicular to his back to evade and close in for quick strikes. If he grabs you, use dash or counter abilities to break free before he hurls you into a live tower beam.

Phase two tactics
At half health Adam shatters his steel arm and wields pure lightning, regaining a sliver of HP. Towers remain a threat but now he unleashes helix-patterned energy balls and summons a death ray that tracks you across the floor.

Stay close to bait the helix around him, then dash through the gap in the spiral to avoid both orbs. When the death ray locks on, sprint circle-wise around Adam - his second phase aggressions force you to dodge in tight arcs. Use your ultimate while he channels to interrupt or stagger him and carve a window for heavy hits.
Final surge
Below thirty percent health Adam lays electric mines that slowly spread like a creeping storm. Keep moving, deactivating any revived towers and weaving between mines to avoid stun and damage.

Save your dash cooldown for his sky-leap slam - brace for impact and dodge at the last moment or you’ll face a dizzying double stun. Land two or three fierce blows after his recovery animation and he will falter, lightning sputtering from his broken frame as you land the killing blow.

You’ve navigated treacherous corridors of crackling towers, read Adam’s deadly combos and mastered both his steel and storm phases. With timing, mobility and relentless focus you’ll topple the Firstborn, claim the Soul Shard of the Monster and leave the castle echoing with your victory roar.
