How to change dinos level on your Ark Survival Evolved server

In the well-known game Ark Survival Evolved, players can travel over a vast continent inhabited by dinosaurs. Taming and rearing these dinosaurs is one of the game's most thrilling features. To make your dinosaurs stronger or weaker, players may occasionally desire to adjust the level of their creatures. We'll show you how to adjust the dinos' level in Ark Survival Evolved in this guide.

This game's difficulty isn't classified as Easy, Medium, or Hard. Instead, it is represented by a value called the DifficultyOffset, which ranges from 0.5 to 4.0 (or 5.0 in The Center). This value, a floating number ranging from 0.01 to 1.0, is controlled by the DifficultyOffset option. The Difficulty Value increases with increasing Difficulty Offset. The Difficulty Value will be 1.0, though, if the Difficulty Offset is set to 0.0. DifficultyOffset has a default value of 0.2.

If you want to configure the maximum creature level, it's recommended to set DifficultyOffset to 1.0 and OverrideOfficialDifficulty to the desired maximum creature level divided by 30. For example, if you want a max level of 300, set OverrideOfficialDifficulty to 10. Keep in mind that the maximum level of Tek Creatures, Wyvern, and Rock Drake is even higher than the maximum creature level of other creatures.

Step 1: Set OverrideOfficialDifficulty and DifficultyOffset settings

Setting the OverrideOfficialDifficulty and DifficultyOffset parameters is the initial step in modifying the difficulty level of dinosaurs. The highest level of dinosaurs that can spawn in the game is determined by these variables in GameUserSettings.ini. Or you can set tis variables in our settings panel. Follow these steps to modify these settings:

1.1 Open server settings and click on “Show all fields”.

Step 2: Destroy old dinos with command destroywilddionos

Once you have changed the settings, you'll need to destroy any existing dinos in the game to make way for new ones. To do this, follow these steps:

2.1 Open the console command by pressing the "Tab" key.

2.2 Type in the command "destroywilddinos" and press "Enter".

Don't forget to become an administrator to do this.

2.3 This will destroy all wild dinos in the game.

You may need to repeat this command a few times to ensure that all dinos are destroyed.
