How to build a Tool Cupboard in Rust?

In the game Rust, a cupboard, also known as a Tool Cupboard or TC, is a crucial base-building component. It serves as a control point for base ownership and prevents unauthorized players from building or upgrading structures within its radius. The cupboard is an item that players can place in their bases to establish their dominance over the area.

Authorize yourself on the Tool Cupboard: Once the Tool Cupboard is placed, approach it and press the "E" key to interact with it. A menu will appear displaying the available options. Choose the "Authorize" option to grant yourself building privilege within the cupboard's radius.

Once placed, the cupboard creates a building privilege zone around it. Within this zone, only the players or groups authorized on the cupboard can build or modify structures. This prevents other players from easily raiding a base by building structures to access or destroy it.

To maintain control over a cupboard, players need to regularly stock it with materials like wood, metal fragments, or high-quality metal, depending on how advanced your construction is. These materials are consumed over time to ensure the base's ownership remains intact. If the cupboard becomes empty, the base becomes vulnerable to other players taking over the ownership.

It's important to note that cupboards have a limited radius of influence, typically around 25 meters, so it's essential to strategically place them to cover the base adequately. Additionally, cupboards can be destroyed by raiders, so protecting them behind strong defenses is crucial for maintaining control over a base in Rust.

Remember, the Tool Cupboard is a crucial component for base protection in Rust. Ensure you place it strategically and keep it stocked to maintain control over your base's building privileges.
