How to Build a Hypertube Cannon in Satisfactory Release 1.0
If you’re looking to zip around the sprawling world of Satisfactory in record time, the Hypertube Cannon is the way to go. This cool setup allows you to launch yourself across vast distances in mere seconds, all thanks to a clever use of physics. Here’s how to get yours up and running!
Gather Materials
Before you start building, make sure you have all the necessary items. You’ll need Hypertube Entrances, Hypertube Segments, and Hypertube Supports. It will be unlocked after researching Tier 4 – Hypertubes.

Stock up on materials like Steel Pipes and Iron Plates. Press Tab to open Constructor Menu and choose Transport Section.

Laying the Foundation
Build a straight line of nine foundation tiles in the direction you want to launch. This creates a solid base for your cannon. Next, place a Hypertube Support every four meters, but don’t go over 17 supports—that’ll send you flying off the map!

After spacing your supports, attach a Hypertube Entrance at the front of each segment. Keep in mind that these entrances can only face one direction.

Building the Cannon Structure
Now, let’s connect those Hypertube Entrances with segments. Starting from the first entrance, link a Hypertube segment to the nearest support.

Continue this for each entrance to create a smooth path. The last segment is where the magic happens—this angle will determine how far you fly, so aim for an upward curve of 30 to 45 degrees. Once that’s set, you can remove any unnecessary supports.

Powering Your Cannon
With your cannon structure complete, it’s time to give it some juice. Connect a power source to all your entrances. Remember, a Hypertube Cannon won’t launch if it’s not powered, so ensure everything is hooked up. If you want to save power, consider adding a switch to activate your cannon only when needed.
Using the Hypertube Cannon
Now that your cannon is ready, it’s launch time! Equip a Jetpack for a smoother landing. Step into the first entrance and get pumped for the ride. For the best flight distance, try using a Blade Runner while sprinting on an Mk.5 Belt before entering the tube. As you take off, adjust your landing with your Jetpack or use a Parachute for a controlled descent.

Tips for Safe Landings
When it’s time to land, you’ve got options. Use a U-Jelly Landing Pad at your destination for a soft landing, or try landing near a Zipline for an easier descent. If you overshoot, no worries! Just reload your game and enter from a different entrance to adjust your distance.
Feeling adventurous? Check out the Hypertube Cyclotron. This variant loops several short segments together, gaining speed before launching you into the main tube. It’s a bit more complex but can be a great alternative. If you want to go for a fully enclosed cannon, connect the last tube segment directly to your destination. This design allows for even higher speeds but requires more resources.
Building a Hypertube Cannon is a fantastic way to explore the vast world of Satisfactory. With the right setup, you’ll be zipping across the map in no time, uncovering new areas and resources. So grab your materials, get building, and set off on an adventure!
