How to Activate Parachute in Satisfactory
Unlocking the Parachute
Before you can start soaring, you need to unlock the parachute. Head over to the Mycelia Research tree in the M.A.M. (Molecular Analysis Machine) and complete the Mycelia Research - Parachute. This involves gathering 10 Fabric and 50 Cable. To craft Fabric, you’ll need Biomass, which you can convert at the Craft Bench or Equipment Workshop. With these resources in hand, you’re set to unlock the parachute blueprint.

Crafting Your Parachutes
Once you’ve unlocked the parachute, it’s time to craft them. Go to the Equipment Workshop and use 20 Fabric and 10 Cable to craft a batch of parachutes. Each crafting session will give you 5 parachutes. Keep in mind, parachutes are a one-time use item in Satisfactory. So, stock up on them if you plan on making high-flying maneuvers or using Hyper Tubes.

Equipping the Parachute
To use a parachute, it needs to be equipped in your suit's back slot, just like Blade Runners. Make sure you move the parachute from your inventory to this slot before taking that daring leap. Forgetting this step is a common mistake, and it could lead to some unfortunate falls.

Deploying Your Parachute
When you’re ready to take to the skies, climb to a high point. This could be a cliff, a tall building, or a structure you’ve built. Once you’re airborne, press the Space Bar to deploy the parachute. This action slows down your descent and prevents fall damage. Remember, you can only deploy the parachute while falling—if you’re ascending, it won’t work.

Navigating in Mid-Air
After deploying the parachute, you’ll notice that controlling your horizontal movement can be tricky. The parachute significantly reduces your speed, but it also makes precise navigation a bit challenging. It’s best to deploy the parachute in open areas where you have plenty of space to glide.

One key thing to remember is that parachutes are not very effective if you’re trying to make precise landings or if you’re using them immediately after a Hyper Tube Cannon launch. The parachute’s horizontal control issues can make landing a bit unpredictable. So, use it wisely and try to avoid launching directly into tricky areas where precision is crucial.
Crafting Tips
Given that parachutes are a one-time use item, it's smart to keep a healthy stock. Aim to have at least 5-10 parachutes on you, especially if you’re exploring high areas or engaging in risky maneuvers. This way, you won’t be caught off guard when you need a quick descent.
If you're planning to use parachutes right after a Hyper Tube Cannon launch, be cautious. The transition from high-speed travel to deploying a parachute can be jarring. Make sure you’ve got a clear, open space to land in and practice deploying your parachute from various heights to get a feel for how it handles.
Mastering the art of parachuting in Satisfactory adds a whole new dimension to your exploration and factory-building adventures. With the right preparation and a few practice jumps, you’ll be soaring through the skies and landing safely with style. So go ahead, unlock, craft, and glide your way to new heights!
