Getting Started with Your V Rising Server on gamever

A vampire lord surveys a gothic landscape in V Rising

Welcome to your gamever V Rising server. A dedicated server is the best way to play V Rising with friends — it stays online 24/7 so your clan can raid, build their castle and hunt bosses whenever they log in, with no host needing to stay in-game. Everything you need lives on the control panel, and players join by the server address. This guide is the quick tour plus a first-time checklist, with links to the deeper guides.

The Overview tab

When you open your server you land on Overview:

The V Rising server Overview tab

  • On/Off, Start / Stop / Restart — your power controls.
  • IP address (62.112.222.106:27162) and Steam address (:27163) — copyable; the IP is what players use to join.
  • Renew server — extend your subscription.
  • Players — the live slot count (0/20 by default) — see max players.
  • Region — where the server is hosted (pick one close to your group).
  • Usage — live CPU and RAM meters, with Upgrade server if you need more power.
  • Console — a live server log with a command box.

The tab bar across the top: Overview · Console · Settings · File Manager · Network · Schedules · Subscription · Delete.

How your friends join

V Rising doesn't rely on a host staying online — your server is always up. To play together:

  1. Copy the IP address from Overview (62.112.222.106:27162).
  2. In V Rising, open Play → Online Play, then use Direct Connect and paste the address (or find your server in the browser).
  3. Enter the server password if you set one (see server settings).

That's the whole setup — no Steam invites, no host dependency.

Your first-time checklist

  1. Wait for Active. On first boot the server downloads V Rising (progress shows in the Console). Give it a few minutes.
  2. Set your server name and password on Settings — see server settings.
  3. Choose PvP or PvE and a difficulty via the Game Preset or the config JSON.
  4. Add yourself as an admin — see admins and bans.
  5. Turn on a scheduled restart and confirm your save interval.
  6. Share the IP and start building your castle.

Additional Tips

  • Players join by IP — share 62.112.222.106:27162; no host needs to stay online.
  • Be patient on first boot — the Console download is normal; wait for Active.
  • Decide PvP vs PvE early — changing game mode later usually means a fresh world.
  • Add yourself as admin first so you can moderate from day one.
  • Stop the server before hand-editing the config JSON (more in the config guide).

Conclusion

Your gamever V Rising server is ready the moment it reaches Active: set a name and password, pick PvP or PvE, add yourself as admin, schedule a restart, and share the IP. The panel handles everything a dedicated V Rising server needs — work through the checklist and your clan's castle is online around the clock.
