Every Palworld Dungeon by Level, and the Guaranteed Half of Every Chest

The entrance to a Palworld dungeon.

Palworld's dungeons are usually discussed as a schematic lottery, which undersells them badly. Every dungeon chest rolls on two pools, not one: a low-probability schematic pool that everybody talks about, and a guaranteed pool that always pays outGold Coin at 100%, plus baits, ammunition, spheres, food and Training Manuals at rates an order of magnitude better than any schematic. The guaranteed gold runs from 700–1,000 in the starting region to 3,500–4,000 on the Sky Island.

Every Dungeon and Its Level

Card listing every Palworld dungeon with its level requirement from 10 to 65.

DungeonLevel
Hillside Cavern10
Isolated Island Cavern10
Ravine Grotto17
Mountain Stream Grotto27
???33
Volcanic Cavern36
Cavern of the Dunes37
Astral Mountains Cavern42
Cherry Blossom Cave47
Feybreak Cavern56
Sunreach Skies65

Fourteen entries resolve to eleven distinct names: Isolated Island Cavern appears three times and Mountain Stream Grotto twice, all at identical levels, which reflects multiple map instances rather than difficulty variants. The ladder runs 10 to 65, and Sunreach Skies at 65 is the ceiling.

The ??? at level 33 is the interesting entry — an unnamed dungeon sitting between Mountain Stream Grotto at 27 and Volcanic Cavern at 36. Which loot table it uses is not published. Two candidates exist: Grass02 is the only map-linked table with no dungeon name attached, while Yakushima_Treasure and Yakushima02 are the only tables the loot database labels ??? outright. The data does not settle it, so treat the pairing as open.

Two ordering points worth noting: Volcanic Cavern (36) is lower level than Cavern of the Dunes (37) despite the volcano reading as the harder biome, and the level-10 pair — Hillside Cavern and Isolated Island Cavern — share a loot table despite being on opposite sides of the map.

Which Dungeon Uses Which Table

Loot tableEntriesDungeons it serves

Grass0287Map-linked, no dungeon named
Forest0160Mountain Stream Grotto
Volcano0145Volcanic Cavern
Desert0149Cavern of the Dunes
Snow0152Astral Mountains Cavern
Sakurajima Treasure41Cherry Blossom Cave
Dark Island Treasure69Feybreak Cavern
Sky Island Treasure93Sunreach Skies

Two further tables — Yakushima_Treasure (41 entries) and Yakushima02 (67) — are labelled ??? in the loot database and carry no map link at all, so they sit outside this mapping.

Grass01 serves three separate dungeons across two level brackets — the two level-10 caverns and Ravine Grotto at 17 — which means the first three dungeons a player ever runs all draw from the same 32-entry table. That is the smallest of the nine dungeon tables, and since per-item odds scale inversely with table size, it also gives the best individual chances of anything on this list.

The Guaranteed Pool

Card showing Palworld's guaranteed dungeon gold ranging from 700 to 4,000 by tier.

This is the half nobody plans around. Every table except Grass02 carries Gold Coin at 100%, and the amount scales cleanly with tier:

TableGold Coin (100%)
Grass01700 – 1,000
Forest011,200 – 1,600
Volcano011,500 – 2,100
Desert011,700 – 2,300
Snow012,000 – 2,500
Sakurajima Treasure2,500 – 3,000
Dark Island Treasure3,000 – 3,500
Sky Island Treasure3,500 – 4,000

A Sunreach Skies chest pays four to five times what a Hillside Cavern chest pays, guaranteed, before any other item is rolled. That makes high-tier dungeon running a genuinely reliable gold income rather than a gamble, and it is the answer to "how do I afford anything from a merchant" at a point where most guides suggest selling Pals.

Alongside the gold, each table carries a consumable block at rates that dwarf the schematic pool:

  • Grass01 — Pal Sphere 1–3 at 26.415%, Simple Bait 1–2 at 25%, Arrow 10–20 and Bread 2–3 at 21.698% each, Frag Grenade and Training Manual (S) at 9.434%.
  • Forest01 — Mega Sphere 1–2, Arrow 3–5 and Grilled Galeclaw 2–3 at 28% each, Simple Bait at 25%, Training Manual (M) at 10% and (L) at 6%.
  • Desert01 — Giga Sphere 1–2, Reinforced Arrow 5–10 and Dumud Chowder at 27% each, Training Manual (L) 1–2 at 13% and (XL) at 6%.
  • Snow01 — Giga Sphere 1–3, Reinforced Arrow and Reindrix Stew at 26% each, Training Manual (L) 2–3 at 17%, (XL) 1–2 at 5%.
  • Dark Island Treasure — Ultra Sphere 1–3, Gatling Gun Ammo and Mammorest Curry at 25.243% each, and the standout: Training Manual (XL) 1–2 at 14.563%, higher than its own Training Manual (L) at 9.709%.
  • Sky Island Treasure — Sol Sphere 1–3 at 16.774%, Deluxe Bait 2–4 at 17.5%, plus Heavy Assault Rifle, Prototype Shotgun and Tactical Grenade Launcher ammo at 16.774% each.

Dark Island Treasure is the only table where XL manuals beat L manuals, at 14.563% against 9.709% — worth 100,000 Pal EXP per drop and a reason to run Feybreak Cavern even when you have every schematic it offers.

Conclusion

Palworld's dungeon list resolves to eleven distinct names across fourteen entries, running from level 10 to level 65, with Isolated Island Cavern appearing three times and Mountain Stream Grotto twice at identical levels. Sunreach Skies at 65 is the ceiling, and an unnamed ??? dungeon sits at level 33 on the anomalous Grass02 table. Nine map-linked loot tables serve those eleven dungeons, and Grass01 alone covers three of them — both level-10 caverns and Ravine Grotto — on the smallest of the nine dungeon tables at 32 entries, which gives it the best per-item odds of any dungeon. The half of the chest worth planning around is the guaranteed one: Gold Coin at 100% in every table except Grass02, scaling from 700–1,000 in Grass01 to 3,500–4,000 on the Sky Island, a four- to five-fold increase. The consumable block beside it runs at 16% to 28% per entry rather than the fractions of a percent the schematics pay, and includes the best Training Manual source in the game: Dark Island Treasure drops Training Manual (XL) at 14.563%, higher than its own L manuals.
