Every Guaranteed Gold Payout in Palworld, Ranked: 700 to 7,500

Most Palworld guides treat gold as something that happens to you. It is not — more than thirty loot tables carry a Gold Coin entry at 100%, and the amounts form a legible ladder from 700 in the starting grasslands to 7,500 at the World Tree. Knowing which container pays what turns gold from a by-product into a route.
The Top of the Table

| Container | Gold at 100% |
|---|---|
| WorldTree_Treasure chest | 7,000 – 7,500 |
| Junk_WorldTree | 6,000 – 6,500 |
| Junk_SkyIsland | 4,500 – 5,000 |
| Skyland001 dungeon Elixir / Technology Book chest | 4,000 – 4,300 |
| EnemyCamp_Desert01 / Desert02 / Snow01 | 4,000 – 4,500 |
| Junk_DarkIsland | 4,000 – 4,500 |
| SkyIsland_Treasure dungeon | 3,500 – 4,000 |
The World Tree treasure chest pays 7,000–7,500 guaranteed, which is ten times the starting dungeon and half again what the best junkyard gives. Nothing else in the game comes near it.
Note that the junkyard ladder overtakes the dungeon ladder at the top end. A Sky Island dungeon pays 3,500–4,000; a Sky Island junkyard pays 4,500–5,000. If you are in the region for gold rather than schematics, the scrap pile beats the cavern.
The Two Ladders That Run in Parallel

This is the finding worth the article. Palworld's dungeons contain two special chest types — Elixir chests and Technology Book chests — and they share an identical gold ladder, region for region:
| Region | Elixir chest | Technology Book chest |
|---|---|---|
| Grass001 | 1,000 – 1,300 | 1,000 – 1,300 |
| Grass002 | 1,300 – 1,600 | 1,300 – 1,600 |
| Forest001 | 1,600 – 1,900 | 1,600 – 1,900 |
| Forest002 | 1,900 – 2,200 | 1,900 – 2,200 |
| Volcano001 | 2,200 – 2,500 | 2,200 – 2,500 |
| Dessert001 | 2,500 – 2,800 | 2,500 – 2,800 |
| Snow001 | 2,800 – 3,100 | 2,800 – 3,100 |
| Sakura001 | 3,100 – 3,400 | 3,100 – 3,400 |
| Viking001 | 3,400 – 3,700 | 3,400 – 3,700 |
| Skyland001 | 4,000 – 4,300 | 4,000 – 4,300 |
Every band is 300 wide and every region steps up by exactly 300 — 1,000, 1,300, 1,600, 1,900, 2,200, 2,500, 2,800, 3,100, 3,400, 4,000 — and both chest types pay the same band in the same region.
That regularity is the clearest evidence in the loot database that these are a designed progression ladder rather than incidental loot. It also means the gold figure alone identifies which region's chest you just opened.
Yakushima001 sits at 3,700–4,000 on both ladders, filling the gap between Viking and Skyland.
Ordinary Dungeons Run a Different Ladder
The dungeon chests — the ordinary ones, not the special two — run their own scale:
| Dungeon table | Gold at 100% |
|---|---|
| Grass01 | 700 – 1,000 |
| Forest01 | 1,200 – 1,600 |
| Volcano01 | 1,500 – 2,100 |
| Desert01 | 1,700 – 2,300 |
| Snow01 | 2,000 – 2,500 |
| Sakurajima_Treasure | 2,500 – 3,000 |
| DarkIsland_Treasure | 3,000 – 3,500 |
| SkyIsland_Treasure | 3,500 – 4,000 |
These bands are wider and less regular — 300 at the bottom, 600 in the desert, 500 at the top — and the ordering does not match the elixir ladder. Volcano01 pays less than Desert01 here (1,500–2,100 against 1,700–2,300), while the elixir chests have the volcano below the desert too — one of the few places the two agree.
Grass01 at 700–1,000 is the lowest guaranteed gold payout in the game.
Camps Beat Caverns
Enemy camps carry their own guaranteed gold, and it is consistently higher than the dungeon in the same region:
| Region | Dungeon chest | Enemy camp |
|---|---|---|
| Grass | 700 – 1,000 | 1,000 – 1,500 |
| Forest | 1,200 – 1,600 | 2,000 – 2,500 |
| Volcano | 1,500 – 2,100 | 3,000 – 3,500 |
| Snow | 2,000 – 2,500 | 4,000 – 4,500 |
| Desert | 1,700 – 2,300 | 4,000 – 4,500 |
The gap widens as you go. In the grasslands a camp pays about 40% more than a dungeon; in the desert it pays roughly double. If gold is the objective, clear camps, not caverns — and the desert and snow camps at 4,000–4,500 are the best ordinary farm in the game.
Building a Gold Route

- World Tree treasure chests first, at 7,000–7,500 — nothing else is close.
- Then endgame junkyards — Junk_WorldTree at 6,000–6,500 and Junk_SkyIsland at 4,500–5,000, both beating the dungeon in the same region.
- Then desert or snow enemy camps, at 4,000–4,500 and roughly double their local dungeon.
- Do not route around ordinary dungeon chests for gold. They are the weakest guaranteed payout at every tier.
- Remember the multiplier. Five Pals carrying Noble and Fine Furs give 40% more gold on everything you sell — which does not affect these guaranteed drops, but does affect what you do with the rest of the chest.
Running your own Palworld 1.0 server
A gold route across four container types is a circuit rather than a trip, and circuits only pay back on a world that resets its chests and keeps your bank. A gamever Palworld server keeps it persistent with full crossplay, automatic updates and one-click backups.
Conclusion
More than thirty Palworld loot tables carry a Gold Coin entry at 100%, running from 700–1,000 in a Grass01 dungeon to 7,000–7,500 in a World Tree treasure chest — a ten-fold spread. The cleanest structure in the database is the pair of special dungeon chests: Elixir chests and Technology Book chests share an identical gold ladder, every band 300 wide, stepping up by exactly 300 per region from 1,000–1,300 to 4,000–4,300, so the gold figure alone identifies the region. Ordinary dungeon chests run a separate, less regular ladder with wider bands and a different order, and they are the weakest guaranteed payout at every tier. Enemy camps beat the dungeon in their own region every time — roughly 40% more in the grasslands and double in the desert, with desert and snow camps at 4,000–4,500 the best ordinary farm available. And the endgame junkyards overtake the dungeons entirely, with Junk_WorldTree at 6,000–6,500 behind only the World Tree treasure chest itself.
