Every Glider in Palworld: Five You Craft, and the Pal That Beats All of Them

A Palworld player gliding over the landscape.

Palworld's glider ladder looks like every other tech ladder — Parachute, Mega, Giga, Hyper, and a Legendary at the top. What the ladder does not tell you is that a fully upgraded Galeclaw glides at 1,700 while the Epic-tier Hyper Glider manages 1,000. A Pal you can catch in the starting forest beats the second-best craftable glider in the game by 70%, and it has done so all along.

The Five Craftable Gliders

The first four are a clean, boring ladder: each step roughly doubles nothing and improves everything a little. Speed goes 50 → 65 → 80 → 100 while stamina drain falls 20 → 16 → 12 → 10. Doubling your speed while halving your drain across the whole game is a modest curve — which is exactly why the Pal gliders matter.

The Wing Pack is a different item wearing the same category. At Speed 1000 it is ten times the Hyper Glider, and it does not glide at all — it flies, burning Wing Cells as fuel rather than stamina. At Technology 80 with Ancient Civilization Core ×10 it is genuinely endgame, and it ends the movement problem outright.

The Giga Glider's Hardwood ×100 is the real cost on that row. Nothing else in the ladder asks for a three-figure material, and it is the step most players postpone.

Pal Gliders Beat Four of Them

Card comparing Palworld Pal glide speeds to the craftable gliders.

Glider Pals carry an internal Max Speed on the same scale as the craftables (the item screen shows a tenth of it — a Hyper Glider's "Speed 100" is 1,000 internally). At Partner Skill level 5:

Glider sourceMax SpeedGravity ScaleStamina Drain
Galeclaw Lv517000.026
Celaray Lux Lv513000.0073.5
Celaray Lv512000.0084
Hyper Glider10000.012510
Killamari Lv59000.0052
Giga Glider8000.01512
Normal Parachute5000.0320

Galeclaw at 1,700 is the fastest glide in the game short of the Wing Pack — and Galeclaw is a level-18 forest Pal. Celaray Lux and Celaray also beat the Hyper Glider, at a third of its stamina drain.

Only the Wing Pack outclasses them, and it costs Technology 80.

The catch is the upgrade path. These are Partner Skill levels, which means condensing the Pal — the numbers above are Lv5, and a Lv1 Galeclaw glides at 1,000, exactly matching the Hyper Glider. So the Pal glider is not free; it is a Pal Essence Condenser project instead of a crafting project.

Note that paldb's table has gaps — several Hangyu and Hangyu Cryst rows have no Max Speed recorded, and a couple of Celaray Lux cells are blank. The figures above are the ones actually published; treat the missing entries as unknown rather than zero.

Two Numbers, Two Jobs

Card explaining Palworld's glider speed, gravity scale and stamina drain.

A glider has three numbers, and most comparisons only quote one:

  • Max Speed — how fast you travel horizontally.
  • Gravity Scale — how quickly you fall. Lower is better, and it is what decides how far a given amount of altitude carries you.
  • Stamina Drain — how long you can stay in the air at all.

Galeclaw and Killamari are the two extremes, and they are good at opposite things. Galeclaw is fastest at 1,700 but has the worst gravity on the Pal list at 0.02 and drains 6. Killamari is the slowest of the four Pal gliders at 900, but at gravity 0.005 and drain 2 it descends four times more slowly and lasts three times longer.

So the choice is about your terrain. Galeclaw crosses gaps — you launch from a cliff and cover ground fast. Killamari descends mountains — you launch high and stay up almost indefinitely, which turns a Mount Obsidian summit into a free ride to the coast.

And every craftable glider has worse gravity than every Pal glider except Galeclaw. The Normal Parachute's 0.03 is the worst number in the table; the Hyper Glider's 0.0125 is beaten by Celaray, Celaray Lux and Killamari. On the stat that decides gliding range, Pal gliders win almost across the board.

Practical tips

  • Five craftable gliders: Parachute (Tech 5) to Wing Pack (Tech 80).
  • The Wing Pack is Speed 1000 and burns Wing Cells, not stamina.
  • Galeclaw at Lv5 glides at 1700 — faster than any craftable but the Wing Pack.
  • Celaray and Celaray Lux also beat the Hyper Glider, at a third of the drain.
  • Killamari has gravity 0.005 and drain 2 — the longest, slowest glide.
  • Pal glide speed is a Partner Skill level, so it means condensing.
  • Gravity Scale, not speed, decides how far you get from a given height.

Running your own Palworld 1.0 server

Gliding is how a group covers a map together — and a shared world is what makes a scouting run worth doing, because the route one person finds is a route everybody can use. A gamever Palworld server keeps that world persistent with full crossplay, automatic updates and one-click backups, so exploration accumulates instead of resetting.

Conclusion

Palworld's glider ladder runs Normal Parachute (Tech 5, Speed 50), Mega Glider (18, 65), Giga Glider (40, 80), Hyper Glider (52, 100) and the Wing Pack (80, Speed 1000) — the last of which flies on Wing Cells rather than gliding on stamina. But the ladder is not the whole picture: a Galeclaw at Partner Skill level 5 glides at an internal 1,700 against the Hyper Glider's 1,000, and Celaray Lux (1,300) and Celaray (1,200) also beat it, at a third of its stamina drain. The trade is that Pal glide speed is a condensing project, not a crafting one — a Lv1 Galeclaw only matches the Hyper Glider. And speed is not the deciding stat: Gravity Scale is, which is why Killamari at 0.005 gravity and 2 stamina drain carries you further from a mountain than the fastest glider in the game.
