Brewing potions in Minecraft
Potions is an interesting system for brewing various types of potions in Minecraft. Based on the type, potions give the player positive or negative effects. For example, from the effects of positive potions, the player can become invisible, gain fire resistance, increased strength, night vision, underwater breathing, fast health regeneration, jumping ability and acceleration. At the same time, negative potions deal damage, poison, slow, and weakness. All existing potions in Minecraft have the same effect on all living creatures: players, animals, mobs. You can use one or more potions, the activated effects will be shown on the left side of the player's bar.
So, what do you need to brew a potion?
For potions, you will need a brewing stand to brew potions on it.

And of course, the main ingredients for brewing the potion: cooked spider eye, light dust, infernal growth, red dust, gunpowder. And this is only a small part of what it takes to make a powerful potion, potion ingredients include quite rare producers that are not so easy to find in survival mode. If you have already lost the desire to brew potions yourself, then you can get a potion after killing a witch, find it in the fortress and ship of the edge, in mine chests, buy it from Piglin or take it in creative mode.
Potion Ingredients
There are several types of potion ingredients: main ingredients, secondary ingredients, and paired ingredients. Basic ingredients are needed to create primary and tertiary potions, and to increase the duration and intensity of the effect of a certain potion.
The main ingredients include:

Boiled Spider Eye: Used to brew a Potion of Weakness that causes a debuff.

Light Dust: The base of a thick potion that enhances effects but reduces duration.

Infernal Growth: Ingredient for a crude potion, can be used as the basis for making any potion.

Red Dust: An addition to an unremarkable potion that increases the duration of effects. If you add it to a level II potion, the effects will be weakened.

Gunpowder: can be added when brewing any potion if an exploding effect is needed, this action will be reduced.

Dragon Breath: When interacting with an Explosive Potion, causes it to linger.
Additional Ingredients
Additional ingredients are needed when creating primary and secondary potions. They do not affect the duration or intensity of the action, but determine what kind of effect will be applied to the player.
